Cat boarding is a supervised stay where your cat lives in a private suite at a boarding facility while you are away, with daily feeding, fresh water, litter changes, and care from trained staff. You book your dates, provide vaccination records along with your cat’s food and any medication, then drop off or arrange pickup at check-in. Your cat stays in its own space for the booking period and you collect it on return.
What Happens From Booking to Check-Out
It starts with a booking. You choose your dates and a suite, then provide your cat’s details. Most facilities require proof of vaccination, and at Cat Utopia that means an F3 minimum given at least two weeks before the stay, plus desexing for any cat over six months.
Next comes check-in. At Cat Utopia, drop-off runs Monday to Saturday between 9am and 11am in a secure carrier you supply. If those hours do not suit, the Cat Chauffeur can collect your cat from home, or the Transit Lounge handles after-hours check-in and pickup by appointment.
During the stay, your cat is fed, watered, and has its litter changed and suite cleaned on a regular schedule, with daily checks on how it is settling. At Cat Utopia, every suite includes the TLC Program: time with the Nannies, gentle brushing, daily emotion and health monitoring, and photo updates so you can see how your cat is going.
At the end, you collect your cat. Checking out before 11am avoids a full extra day’s charge, and the full booked period is charged even if you return early. Knowing the check-in and check-out windows in advance makes the whole process smoother for you and calmer for your cat.
